As the light goes, the pool glows and the trees in the garden are lit from below. It is the villa’s best hour, so be in the garden for it.

Hikkaduwa, November to April

From November to April the sea on this coast is at its calmest and clearest. Hikkaduwa’s reef is a marine national park, where reef fish and turtles are often seen in the wild.

We arrange snorkelling, diving and surfing through local partners. Tell your concierge what you would like to do and we will send a quote.

Is the villa on the beach?

No. Hikkaduwa Beach is 8 minutes away by car or scooter, and the town is 7 minutes by car or tuk-tuk. The villa sits in a quiet, green neighbourhood.

How many guests can stay?

Up to 19 adults (children aged 10 and over count as adults), in eight bedrooms: five Deluxe Double Rooms with a king bed, and three Deluxe Triple Rooms with a king bed plus a sofa bed. Children under 10 can share a room within its limits. We don’t have cots.

Who else will be staying?

When you book the whole villa, nobody else. Our team stays on-site overnight in their own rooms. When you book a room, other guests may be staying in the villa too.

Can you arrange airport transfers?

Yes. A private van and driver meets you at Colombo airport, with tolls and parking paid. Taking the whole villa? You see the price when you check dates, and it is free when you stay 7 nights or more, for up to 19 people. Booking a room? Ask us on WhatsApp for a quote.

What about meals?

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are cooked in-house, with halal and vegetarian meals on request. The whole villa includes breakfast every day, and lunch or dinner is £10$12€12 a guest. Meal prices are on our Prices page.

How do payment and cancellation work?

Rooms: nothing to pay when you book. You pay at the villa in USD cash, or by card. Free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival. Whole villa: a 25% deposit, paid through a secure card payment link we send on WhatsApp, secures your dates. Free cancellation until 30 days before arrival (60 days for stays touching 20 Dec to 4 Jan). Your deposit is refunded in full. After that, the most you can lose is your deposit. The balance is never owed if you cancel. You can also change your dates once, free, up to 7 days before arrival, subject to availability. The rate for the new dates applies. Changing your dates never moves or extends your free-cancellation date: it stays the date it was for your original dates. The balance is paid on arrival.
